This is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure beyond WA's Steep Point to the last sunset in Australia on Dirk Hartog Island.
Join Carlisle Rogers from 4WD Touring Australia on an epic 10 day sojourn in one of the wildest places left on the planet.

We will be fishing, surfing, spearfishing, photographing, 4WDing and living the dream, off the grid.
Carlisle will be your host, outback chef and guide to the island throughout your stay.
Our base camp will be Urchin Point, a rugged limestone outcrop on the northwest tip of the island with an old fishing shack overlooking a gnarly reef break out the front and easy access to some of the island's best fishing spots.

 Day 2: In the morning we catch the barge, one vehicle at a time, to Dirk Hartog Island. We will travel almost the length of the island to our base camp at Urchin Point. We may have some time to explore today, but due to ever changing sand dunes and tracks, it may also take all day to get to camp. |

 Day 5: Today we'll be exploring the western cliffs around Quoin Head. This is the best time of year to see Humpback Whales migrating up this coastline. The fishing off these cliffs is world-class, with marlin, GT and sailfish caught regularly off the rocks. |
 Day 6: Snorkelling, fishing, surfing or just relaxing, the island's southern end is home to Surf Point and natural blowholes. We'll be making a day of getting to and exploring this end of the island. |
 Day 7: Sandy Point, on the island's east coast, can be treacherous driving, but it's also a great fishing spot day or night, and good for snorkelling. |
 Day 8: Mystery Beach is wild and wooly. I once nearly bumped into a 2m long loggerhead paddling out to surf here. I'm pretty sure we both nearly had a heart attack. |
 Day 9: This is our spare day. Subject to availability and additional fee, we can book a private charter boat for the full day. Or we can explore or re-explore part of the island. |
 Day 10: Today we break base camp and begin the journey south to catch the barge off the island, then west, back down the Steep Point road to the edge of civilisation at Denham.
